MEALS FROM THE HEARTLAND
MAY 4

Meet us at the packing center located at 357 Lincoln Street in West Des Moines.
We work together to package shelf stable meals that are sent across the country and around the world.
We work from 9 am- ll am. Join us as we fight hunger together.

HOWE ELEMENTRY

Donate snacks for the students by leaving them in our generosity station.
Many of the students at Howe School live under the poverty line, these snacks
help them maintain concentration so they can succeed in classes. Snacks cannot be homemade
and must be individualy packaged. Favorites include goldfish crackers, and fruit snacks.

GOOD SHEPHERD QUILTERS

Each year the Good Shepherd quilters make more than 600 quilts!
Each preschool student in the Des Moines School system recieves a quilt for nap time that they get to keep at the end of the year. Imagine how many of the students graduating this year still have thier nap time blanket! Quilters also make blankets for the shelters, nursing homes and other needs. You can help by purchasing 3 yards of quilting fabric with kids themes, or better yet, donating to the quilting fund so that the group can take advantage of sales and bulk buying.
